2024 Theme: What Mental Health Means To Me

The Fund

The Living With Scholarship Fund was inspired by these three beliefs:

  • Creative expression is an embodied experience that can support our mental wellbeing.

  • Art is a powerful tool for social change.

  • High school graduation marks the start of an important time of self-discovery.

Each year, youth use their own creative expression in response to themes surrounding mental illness.

How To Apply

  • Consider The Theme

Each year, we announce a general theme for the Living With Fund. Allow the theme to inspire and guide you, but not limit you. Applicants will include an Artist’s Statement that allows for you to explain how the theme did or didn’t guide your piece.

  • Allow Your Creative Expression To Lead You

Drawing, film, sculpture, photography, painting, mixed media, writing, poetry, music, dance, or any other art form - we accept it all. Submit your creation with a digital version you feel will best express your message. We accept PDF, JPEG and PNG files or links to videos hosted online.

  • Complete Your Application

Complete the online application, including your Artist Statement, some info to let us get to know you, and an idea of your goals for the future. Applications are accepted from everyone - you do not have to be attending post-secondary education in order to apply. Your future is yours to lead and we believe all youth benefit from financial support as they leave high school.
